PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Our Holiday Party at the club house Monday, December 6, 2021, was a big success. Nancy Broden, the chair of the event, did a great job coordinating everything with the caterer and her team. She had a big volunteer group of helpers. Eva Monroe was in charge of the decorating crew and all around it just looked beautiful. Yen Bachmeier, Kathe Farrell, Saundra McCormick, Laura Outsen, Zaia Vera and family, Diane Wara and Ingeborg McGlynnwere all working hard to beautify the club house. For muscle and height, Mike Monroe and Bill Wara. Many thanks to all of you for working so hard to make the event a memorable one.

Food and drink were accompanied by piano music of many beloved melodies. We all thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. Thanks to Yen Bachmeier for having the piano tuned and hiring a fine pianist.

We had a very successful wreath making day on Saturday, December the 4th with Laura Outsen in charge, thank you Laura. Work for Deck the Halls on Sunday, December 5th, was interrupted at noon by an excellent lunch produced by our V.P. Kathleen Fong. Ingeborg only needed to bring the dessert. So far no complaints have been filed.

After the rude interruption for Covid 19, of our long time tradition, it was really nice to be together with our friends and neighbors again to celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season. A very good time was had by all who participated. Photos of the December events can be viewed here.

Living Tribute: A 25-gallon Meyer lemon tree was planted in the clubhouse garden in memory of our beloved member Maxine Dickson. Thanks to Diane Wara and the FHA!

For the New Year, interesting monthly programs are lined up for the Garden Club's general meetings, the first one will start in January 17, 2022. Topic: Old San Francisco Mint.

All the best wishes to all of you and with renewed hope we will look forward to a healthy and safe New Year.
