PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: With the approaching holidays in mind, our November 21, 2022, Book Fair, chaired by Darlene Hartman, was a great success. Bookshop West Portal owner Anna Bullard and her assistant Susan gave us a quick overview of a lot of titles, and quite a few books were purchased by our members. Darlene and her helpers Pansy Waller, Julia Stroub, Kathleen Fong, Saundra McCormick and Ingeborg McGlynn, did the baking. Thank you all. Anna Bolechowski was busy setting up the tables with tablecloths and flowers. Darlene and Teresa Callan put out the chairs for the program. Thank you all for the work well done. We had a short business meeting, where the President welcomed members and guests. Eva Monroe gave a brief discussion about our SF-Marin food bank fundraiser. We are happy to report that the fund drive was a big success. Our deepest appreciation goes to the 29 donors who donated a total of $2,125.00. Eva also gave a short presentation regarding the upcoming holiday party and read the menu for that evening, which sounded very enticing. Our wreath making chair Laura Outsen talked about the upcoming event on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Greens will be provided by the FHA as well as the outdoor tree and the small indoor tree for the entrance. A table with cookies and cake, coffee and cocoa will provide sustenance for the young and older artists working on their creations. Ingeborg announced that Sunday, December 4, our Deck the Hall work day decorating the clubhouse in preparation of the Monday December 5 party, there will be a delicious lunch served at around noon. I am looking forward to seeing many of you joining us on that busy week-end. The Holiday Dinner Party on the 5th promises to be a festive and joyous gathering.
