BULLETIN

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

A big WELCOME BACK to a new season at the garden club, after you have hopefully spent a fun filled summer with family and friends or travelling the world.

Since the middle of June this year, the FHGC has sponsored and the FHA has funded, an exercise class that is being held at the clubhouse once a week, Thursday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am. Our excellent fitness instructor is a garden club member, resident and friend, Ann Rieger-Matthew. The general consensus is, we are having a ball while trying to get our bodies in shape. Just in case you are not yet signed-up and are interested to join, please let me know.

Our September general meeting will feature our traditional chicken salad and again Kathleen Fong has offered to do the cooking. Thank you Kathleen for especially coming down early from Tahoe. Ingeborg has offered to make the dessert for that occasion.

Just a reminder, we are continuing our COVID precautions by requesting that all participants at our meetings have been vaccinated and boosted.

We are having some fun programs lined up for the coming year. For our October general meeting Yen Bachmeier will bring Kathleen Kelly's Hats and Fascinators. It was a big hit last time. And as always, all programs are followed by a wonderful tea. Yen and her team will be in charge of the refreshments.

Stay healthy and safe, I am looking forward to seeing you all in September.
