PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE: As this Garden Club year is drawing to a close, I wish to thank all of the devoted members who served so unselfishly during the year in hosting events, arranging interesting speakers for us, putting together very special and fun parties for everyone, providing flowers in beautiful arrangements, baking, cooking, coming early to set up and clean up afterward for events, providing their time to take care of the business of the Garden Club. Thank you so very much everyone! Our April event was a tour of City Hall conducted by Ellen Schumer, Commission Chair of the San Francisco City Hall Preservation Advisory Commission. The members enjoyed the tour and learned about the intricacies of what went into the construction of this grand and spectacular historic building. On May 2nd I will host the traditional President’s Luncheon for the Board Members and the Standing Committee Chairs at the Clubhouse. On May 16th at the Clubhouse the new officers will be installed at our traditional Strawberry Social. Five members volunteered to help on this event: Louise Bacigalupi, Donna Earhart, Clorinda Aldrich, Anna Bolechowski and Toni Buckley. On Friday, May 27 the President’s Party will be held at the Clubhouse at 6:00 PM. I will host this event. Please RSVP at 415 681-1377. — Pansy Waller
