PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE:

Our Community Service event for La Casa de Las Madres was a great success. Over 100 bags of toiletries were put together for needy moms and children by the FHGC. Thank you to all who contributed to make this event such a success.

A particular big thank you goes to Alexis Briano for a most generous contribution of $150 worth of toiletries. Also a special of thanks to Dottie McHugh for sewing the cute little bags for the toiletries, to Darlene Hartman for her tasty pasty and Lonnie Wong for bringing candy treats. And of course a big, big thank you to co-chairs Maria Elena Hanley and Suzie Curtiss for suggesting and organizing the event and for additionally baking delicious sweets and tea sandwiches. Last but not least, many thanks go to Nancy Hagosian for the lovely floral arrangements.

	This first major West Coast exhibition is at the Legion of Honor, featuring more than 70 works.
	Pierre Bonnard (French, 1867-1947) is one of the defining figures of modernism in the transitional period between Impressionism and abstraction. Lecture and Power-Point presentation by FAMSF docent Carol Porter.

	Afternoon tea to follow. Bring a friend.
