PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

Welcome back everyone! We celebrated the beginning of our Garden Club season with a fabulous Chicken Salad Luncheon prepared by Linda Simonin and Mary Sangiacomo.
Thank you both for putting together a beautiful meal for all to enjoy. Thank you to those who helped with the event, Donna De Santis-Buoymaster, Mary Sangiacomo, Mary Palmer, Ann Rieger-Matthews, Amy Quirk, Eva Monroe, and Claudia Belshaw. We would also like to thank Nancy Hagosian for making the lovely table and entry floral arrangements. Our luncheon is a special way to return after the summer and enjoy each other’s company and launch our new season.

Please make sure you send in your membership form and dues if you haven't done so.
The membership form was mailed but can also be accessed here online if you need a new copy. Please renew your membership before the end of October. Dues fund the programs we offer during the year.

In October, we are looking forward to an informative presentation about the “Treasures of the Pharaohs” exhibit that is happening at the de Young Museum. This exhibition bring the world of the pharaohs to life through 130 exquisite works from Egypt spanning 3,000 years of history. From monumental stone statues to gilded masks to intricate gold jewelry. Many of these objects never shown before in the US. They reveal the power, beauty, and beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians. This exhibit is at the de Young and the docent presentation will be at the Clubhouse. Chaired by Yen Bachmeier. Afternoon tea to follow the presentation. Bring a friend or two. Don’t miss this event!

Best,
Claudia Belshaw
