PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: Welcome Back! We hope everyone had a nice summer and are ready for a new season. We will be starting up again in September with our First Board meeting on September 7 and are ready for a new and exciting season. Claudia Belshaw will be our new president. Ann Rieger Matthews will be stepping down and taking an advisory role. The Forest Hill Garden Club proudly enters its 96th year! That’s not just a milestone, it’s a legacy! With deep satisfaction and gratitude, we reflect on the many fine traditions and happy events that have characterized the club’s activities over the decades. We are happy with our accomplishments and are looking forward to another amazing year. Our dues have stayed the same this year at $75.00 per person. Our membership is open to anyone, of any age, who is a member of the Forest Hill Association or renting in the neighborhood. We also will be hosting parties generally in the evenings (e.g., the holiday party in December). There is an additional cover charge for some of these events to cover the costs of catering, music, and decorations. General Meetings are open to non-members as guests for $10.00, and to all members free as part of your membership. Our first General Meeting will be on September 21 at 1:00pm. This is our annual chicken salad luncheon to welcome everyone back to a new season of the Garden Club. Please RSVP with Claudia in advance so we ensure we can accommodate all guests. NOTES: Upcoming Event Monday, October 19, 2026 Art Talk “Treasures of the Pharaohs”. We are thrilled to bring the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco to our Clubhouse. This exhibition bring the world of the pharaohs to life through 130 exquisite works from Egypt spanning 3,000 years of history. From monumental stone statues to gilded masks to intricate gold jewelry. Many of these objects never shown before in the US. They reveal the power, beauty, and beliefs of the Ancient Egyptians. This exhibit will be at the de Young and the docent presentation will be at the Clubhouse. Don’t miss it!
